Facts about Fibromyalgia ... |
|
Fibromyalgia is chronic a process involving widespread pain and fatigue. Many other symptoms are typically reported. Yet, research consistently shows there is NO tissue abnormality that explains the pain of FM. Instead, strong evidence shows that neurotransmitters involved in pain processing are at abnormal levels.
That leads us to consider the central nervous system, and specifically the brain, as a logical target for understanding the root dysfunction.
